we're moving!

Tomorrow is the big day! The wonderful man in my life is going to become a homeowner!! I've spent this week packing up everything in our little apartment. Organizing all of our things, labeling boxes, trying to throw things away that I haven't used all year... and so on! I didn't realize how many things we have in this little place!!

We are just moving across the city but we are gaining so much! I even get my very own sewing/crafty room! I can't possibly explain how excited I am!! It's a mess around here and I've been so busy (which is why I've been slacking around here..) but I am really excited to share some of the cutest moving announcements I found! I have been doing some searching to get some inspiration to create an announcement for Evan and I to send out to our friends and family! Enjoy!

you know i love anything with that card board, brown paper bag, recycled look! these postcards are perfect.

i'm also a big fan of all things vintage!

how cute are these cut out little moving trucks?!

i love this idea of using paint color swatches, especially the yellows, it makes me smile.

another really cute version of the paint colors!

this is so simple and beautiful. i love that house with the trees on this card!

this is my favorite...I found it on etsy. i love that it's wrapped up like a moving box!

this is a great announcement for in-state moving!

i love any of the announcements with maps!

I can't wait to start UN-packing and getting things settled in. Come visit us soon!!

little brown bird felties

a few weekends ago I was home with my mom and she showed me the cutest website ever! my aunts and I always like to tease my mom a little bit because she tends to love making things that don't really have a purpose...but she always says "if it makes me smile, it has a purpose!" I definitely teased her all the time but after she showed me this website, I now understand why she loves these useless things!

I don't know how she found this but it's a website full of fun felt made things! Little Brown Bird's Passion is the title and let me tell you, she does awesome stuff!! she's thought of every little tiny detail, it's amazing! it was pretty funny thinking back on the 2 of us looking at each picture, the next one always seemed better than the last!

She has a free pattern page and these adorable little animal crackers are on there! My mom and I got right to work making up a bunch of these. They are just the cutest, right?!

how perfect?

Here are a bunch of her other patterns that you can buy on her etsy shop!

(i love that yellow pop!)

even the pizza cutter is felt!

she's really thought of everything!

this is a county fair kit! i love it!

And there is so much more! If you love things like this, definitely check out her shop! (my mom has already bought a bunch!) On this lady's blog she also has a really great 'tips and techniques' page that may help get you started!

Have a great weekend and stay cool out there!!

my first custom orders!

yes so maybe the order was from my Mom-Mom, but hey it was still a great order! :)

I got a call a few weeks ago from my Mom-mom wanting a few gold and black clutch purses. I was super excited and got right to work! It makes me a little nervous sometimes when someone just asks for me to make something, but it's also very exciting and makes me do my best work. Here are my creations!

I am a huge fan of fabric flowers these days!

i love the white inside and I recently found a jackpot of fabulous zippers with awesome pulls on them..almost all of these clutches feature one of these awesome zippers.

my mom brought me some old lace that she had laying around, isn't it such a beautiful touch? even more fun is that this lace is left over from a flower girl dress my mom made for me when I was a little munchkin.

...with a gold inside lining

my Mom-Mom has an amazing collection of old pins and I knew this would be a really nice accent for one of her bags. I just made this one plain on the front so she could add any of her pins that she would like.

this was one of my favorites! I added lace to the whole front flap with gold plain fabric underneath.

I also recently added a few new things to my online etsy shop.
stop on by and check it out!
